Today we're running a Hack Day at TTF, we're looking at social login, so allowing people to login through social networks to our site. I thought I'd live blog it, and see where we get to...
9:00 We meet in Starbucks for a Coffee and a Danish, important stuff to set the day up... development fuel.
9:15 Brainstorming begins
10:15 Brainstorm complete and we have the start of a plan
10:30 The next step is to break this down into a days work on an MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
10:35 Its Kanban Time
10:50 Next we start experimenting, prototyping, and discussing how to implement.
11:44 We think we've cracked the design and customer journey now, and we're working separately on the tech piece.
12:00 time for Lunch
13:30 Design continues, we've created a Facebook App, and we have a full technical design for the integration.
14:00 Starting build on the login page
14:20 We're at currently at 500 lines of code for our Facebook integration, it's probably not the most efficient, but hey, it's an MVP
15:00 We have login working technically, it's rough and ready, now we're looking at account creation.
16:30 Heads down coding time as we try and get a working prototype up and running
17:00 An administrative oversight means we are about to be kicked out of the room we're in! we now have Login and Account Creation up and running but haven't tied these into the newly designed pages. we're on the final straight but may have to call it a day soon!
